Android phone by Aston Martin? Introducing the Aspire premium Android phones.

Luxury car manufacturers releasing Android devices is apparently something not too uncommon.  Aston Martin is the latest car manufacturer showing interest in creating its own Android devices and has already announced the  Aston Martin  Aspire.
Aston Martin has already released a phone that is similar in design to Samsung Nexus S, but at that time, it was a collaborative effort with Mobiado. This time around Aston Martin's doing it all on its own.
The  Aston Martin  Aspire does have some things going for it. It’s a gorgeous phone and it’s made from high quality materials. Plus, you could feel proud to know that your Android phone was made by one of the premier car makers in the world.

What are the Aspire's specs?

The Aston Martin Aspire has a lovely design and the materials are upper class, but the specs could be  much better.  It contains a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 800MHz single core processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front facing camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of storage, a MicroSD card slot, and the usual array of 3G and WiFi compatibility. While the phone is made out of high class materials, this phone is no where near cutting edge by today's standards. It also comes in five colors, including rose, silver, gold, black, and white.
Under par specs might hint cheap price tag right? If only this were true, and it's too bad this phone doesn't offer more for the price tag. Depending which color, you could spend anywhere from $1,290 to $1,590 for one of these devices.  The gold version of  Aston Martin's phone is actually made out of gold.

Bottom line

This phone is complete garbage in my opinion, yet I won't be surprised how many high class people would be willing to buy one as a status icon.  I wonder what you guys might think, is this phone really worth it for sub-par specs and classy materials?
